A clever spoof video perfectly captures society's ever-increasing fixation with social media - while poking fun at the stereotypical Instagram-obsessed women who will do anything in order to capture the perfect shot.
The witty clip tells the story of three long-suffering 'Instagram husbands' who spend their days snapping endless images of their spouses as they preen and pose in front of picture-perfect brick walls and urban-looking stairwells. Unsurprisingly, the men have grown increasingly frustrated with the fact that their lives now revolve around their smartphones - and the snaps that they are able to capture - and are sharing their woes with the camera in the hopes of finding support and advice.
First up is Jeff, who, with a sad and weary look in his eye, explains to the camera the toll that his wife's Insta focus is taking on his relationship.
Full-time photographers: Jeff (pictured) appears in The Mystery Hour's spoof video about three 'Instagram husbands' who are forced to spend their days taking endless amounts of photos of their wives
As footage of him snapping an endless series of 'candid' images of his wife as she showcases her latest 'cute outfit' plays, he explains to the camera: 'Behind every cute girl on Instagram is a guy like me - and a brick wall.'
The video then introduces Trey, another emotionally-bruised Instagram husband who angrily explains that he has had to 'delete all the apps off my phone to make more room for more photos'.
Finally, there is Nate, who has taken an entirely different approach to life as a phone photographer, explaining with a faux enthusiasm that he 'loves' his life 'so much'. The sad and frustrated truth behind his upbeat attitude is revealed in his nervous eye twitch however, which starts to show every time he remains still for too long - even when he's snapping a selfie with his wife.
After introducing themselves, the men then go on to detail exactly what it is about their wives' Instagram obsession that has made their lives so difficult.
Emotionally traumatized: Trey (pictured) admits to the camera that he had to delete all of the apps on his phone just to make more room for his wife's photos
Trying to smile: Nate spends most of the video trying to convince the cameras - and himself - that he 'loves' his life so much, however, his nervous eye twitch gives him away
Never-ending process: Nate tries to be a supportive husband by cheering his wife on when she poses for the camera
As Jeff explains that it has become his job to make his wife 'look good' in all her pictures, a clip shows the two of them trying to capture the ideal image of her perching on a metal stairwell.
Desperate to find the perfect angle, the blonde yells at Jeff to 'take it higher. No higher. Babe, higher!' as he clambers up the steps and leans precariously over the railing while attempting to snap her 'selfie' from above.
'I'm basically a human selfie stick,' Trey says, as viewers are shown footage of him taking images of his spouse while she runs around trailing an American flag behind her.
'Last year for Christmas I actually got her a selfie stick and then she got mad at me because she thought I was just trying to get out of taking photos.'
Added responsibility: Jeff says that it has become his job to make sure his spouse 'looks good' in every photo he takes of her
Really trying: Jeff can be seen trying to take the perfect photo of his wife perched on a stairwell
Never enough: During the impromptu photoshoot, Jeff's wife demands that he 'take it higher' before he snaps her photo
He then adds with a furious grimace: 'Of course I'm trying to get out of taking your f***ing photo.'
Nate, meanwhile, is still trying to remain the supportive spouse, cheering his wife on as she snaps as image - taken herself for once - of a random selection of her belongings, artfully arranged in a grid shape.
'What are you doing in here? Taking a picture of all your stuff?' he asks. 'Yeah, this is a good moment. I support that!'
But while Nate might have had a lucky escape when it came to taking the picture, as soon as it is posted, his job begins again.
Can't win: Trey admits that he is basically a 'human selfie stick', but when he tried to give her an actual selfie stick for Christmas she got angry for trying to get out of taking her photo
Everyday occurrence: Trey can be seen taking a snapshot of his wife as she poses in front of a brick wall
'Just a second, I should probably comment on this,' he tells the camera mid-interview.
'It helps me out if I'm the first one to comment,' he adds, before revealing that he has written 'Cuuuuuute' on his wife's picture.
In addition to the obvious issues the women's fixation with Instagram the men agree that they are no longer able to live in the moment because of their wives' obsession with capturing every moment on social media.
'It's become a pretty big problem,' Jeff explains. 'We take so long to get anywhere because we're taking pictures of our feet.'
Long travel time: Jeff notes that it takes his him and his wife and unusually long time to go anywhere because she is always trying to take pictures of their feet
Miserable moment: Jeff's wife can be seen snapping a photo of their feet because she likes the look of the 'leaf' on the ground
The woeful husband's eyes immediately glaze over when his wife insists that he stops walking across the street because she wants to get a picture of their feet next a leaf that had fallen.
Trey agrees with Jeff's plight, noting that that he and his wife are no longer able to enjoy a meal together.
'We used to eat our food. Now we just take pictures of it,' he says with dismay as he watches his spouse stand on a chair to snap a photo of a doughnut.
Meanwhile, Jeff's wife can be seen berating him for taking a sip of his latte without her permission.
Food preparation: Trey say he and his wife are no longer able to share a meal together because she becomes consumed with taking photos of everything she orders - including this doughnut
'You can't do that!' Jeff's wife can be seen yelling at him for taking a sip of his latte before she could a picture of the foam
There is help: At the end of the mock public service announcement, a group of men stoically admit that they are Instagram husbands
'No, you can't do that! I haven't taken a shot of it yet,' she yells. 'We have to show everybody how much we enjoy our lives together.'
'Yeah, it's really enjoyable,' Jeff sarcastically tells the camera.
At the end of the mock public service announcement, a voice over urges men to seek help if they have found themselves in similar situations.
'If you or someone you know is an Instagram husband, help is out there,' the voice says. 'Go to InstagramHusband.com and see how millions of men just like you have found hope.'
The clip ends with a group of men stoically admitting that they are Instagram husbands, so other men know that they aren't alone.
