Married At First Sight bride Clare Verrall has been sent a dozen long stem roses during her stay in hospital where she underwent surgery for a broken wrist.

The kind gesture made Clare's day, but it also had fans speculating who they came from, with her ex husband Jono Pitman and Clare's crush Dr Chris Brown topping the list.

The box of roses came with a heart-felt message.

'With a dinner set full of plates in your wrist, here's some flowers to help you smile,' it read.

'Because as everyone knows, a simple smile is the world's best pain relief.'

The card was simply signed: 'Secret admirer'.

The flowers were a first for Clare, who said she had never received long stem red roses before.

'Secret admirer whoever you are, thank you so very much. So kind of you & it absolutely made my day,' she wrote. 

The Married At First Sight star found herself in hospital after she slipped on a piece of ice on a night out with fellow bride Erin Bateman and broke her wrist.

The anonymous gift worked to boost her mood, as Clare said she needed to stay in hospital another night despite the fact she was meant to go home on Monday.

The gift came after Clare gushed over her recent meeting with hunky celebrity vet Dr Chris Brown, with many of her followers suggesting it was he who sent the flowers.

'Maybe it is Dr Chris Brown!' one person wrote, as others echoed their sentiment.

Her ex-husband Jono Pitman, who she married on the show, was also named, albeit jokingly.

'Plot twist - they are from Jono?!' one person said.

Clare developed a crush on Dr Chris Brown after the pair met at a 'Dog Lover's Show' over the weekend, and the 33-year-old took to Instagram to share a selfie of the pair together.

'Preeeeeeetty sure I've found the absolutely perfect husband number two, no 'experts' required [sic],' she captioned the snap, adding a heart-eyed emoji.

'He's "what I ordered",' she added in the comments, alluding to a comment made by her controversial TV groom Jono, who famously said Clare 'wasn't what he ordered'.
