A married erotic writer who has been swinging for decades says it has spiced up her marriage and she has no intention of stopping now she's in her fifties.
Emma Styles, 51, from Kew, London, says her sex drive is as high as ever and she's in demand with young men who want to have sex with a 'cougar'.
The mother-of-two and her husband, Paul, 52, first started swinging in their early thirties on an eye-opening trip to Paris.
Emma Styles, 51, has written about her many sexual encounters in two erotic memoirs which she admits 'aren't for the faint-hearted'
Emma and her husband Paul have been swinging for decades and say they don't get jealous seeing their partner with someone else. She said it has enhanced their marriage and sex life
She wrote about her sexual awakening in a bestselling erotic memoir 'First Tango In Paris', explicitly detailing her encounters with married men, women, a distinguished French diplomat and - what she rates among her favourite experiences - a team of French firefighters.
Since the book was published she has been inundated with requests from younger men keen to have a 'Mrs Robinson' experience with her.
Over the years Emma has bedded men older and younger than her but she told MailOnline as she turned 50 she was initially reluctant about having relations with men half her age - particularly as they were younger than her grown up son and daughter.
But now she said she 'sees it as a great compliment that younger men have finally woken up and have discovered the delights of a "cougar" and their particular set of skills, that have been honed to perfection over the years'.
The mother-of-two says younger men are keen to have sex with a more experienced woman for the 'Mrs Robinson experience' and some clubs now have specific 'cub and cougar' nights
Emma said swinging has increased in popularity in the UK in recent years with advances in technology making it easier for like-minded couples to meet via apps and websites
She said she now has no qualms about sleeping with men in their early twenties 'as long as both parties involved go into the liaison with the mindset that the goal is purely a few hours of unadulterated carnal pleasure'.
She has written about her sexual experiences in her forties and fifties in her second memoir, which she has called 'First Tango In Paris 2: The Conclusion' and is now available as an eBook on Amazon.
In the book, she reveals how swinging has increased in popularity in recent years with advances in technology making it easier for like-minded couples to meet via apps and websites.
She writes: 'Back in the early days of our personal foray into swinging all we had to guide us was a little handbook that was published once a year by the legendary Tuppy Owens called "The Sex Maniacs Diary".
'It was that little diary, coupled with word of mouth and a huge chunk of good fortune that enabled us to indulge in the delights that were available out there but at that time still well hidden.
'Today everything is accessible to all with just the touch of an icon, click on a mouse and endless other methods.
'The big problem now is that it's very tempting to overindulge. Probably no such thing when you're in your twenties and thirties, but as you get older you do need to be more selective, and pace yourself somewhat.'
Emma said her sex drive remains high but now it is more about 'quality than quantity'.
She explains: 'I think as you get older you don't slow down, you just become more selective. Think of it along the lines of a runner... all the top sprinters are in their twenties, and are supreme at an explosive short stint but then many develop into long distance endurance athletes and reach their peak mid to late thirties.'
She adds: 'In my mind the words "past it" don't exist.'
Emma and her husband of more than 30 years say swinging has done wonders for their marriage and it has become something of a hobby.
Emma and her husband Paul first started swinging on weekends away in Paris. He said it has enhanced their lives but admits 'this kind of lifestyle and outlook is not suited to everyone'
Emma says sex has got better with age but now she prefers quality other quantity
She previously told the MailOnline of their sexcapades: 'Our marriage has been enhanced greatly by fully enjoying our weekends away.
'In the early days it was a great talking point between us - especially in the bedroom, where without embarrassment or fear of what either would think - we could relive moments we'd enjoyed or moments we'd like to enjoy in the future.
'I suppose we looked upon it as a kind of hobby, people would go on gastronomic weekends, cultural weekends (we did many of those also) we just went on slightly more gratifying weekends.'
While Emma said she and her husband always had a happy sex life, it was after a weekend to Paris when she was 29 and they had been married for seven years that they truly had a sexual awakening - after dabbling in sex shows and venues famed for swinging.
Since then they have visited sexual establishments across Europe and Emma said they can now visit them closer to home, as such clubs are becoming more common in the UK.
She said: 'Brits have definitely become less inhibited. I go into great detail in the book regarding how and why swinging has become a mainstream activity in the the UK as a whole and the book documents how the death of the News of the World was a big factor in the explosion of clubs and events across Britain.
'Places such as Weston-super-Mare have two purpose built clubs. Swinging in the UK now cuts across all boundaries, there is something for everyone, every fetish and all age groups catered for.'
Emma said her sexual awakening began when she was 29 and she had since written memoirs of her sexcapades which have been a hit on Amazon
She said in particular there has been a rise in younger men wanting to sleep with older women.
'There has been a massive increase in the demand for the more mature woman, hence the "Cubs and Cougar" evenings that are held regularly at the clubs mentioned in the book,' she explains.
'I think it is simple why younger men enjoy it... experience, and men in their twenties and thirties hanker for that "Mrs Robinson" experience.
'The cougar takes the initiative and trains her young lover in the art of pleasing a woman, which holds him in good stead in later life and future relationships.'
When it comes to her dalliances with other men - and her husband's with other women - Emma said there has never been any jealously or arguments between her and Paul.
She said they went into situations with 'their eyes wide open' and always with one another's consent.
She explained that at first they established ground rules of 'look but don't touch' but these quickly went out the window when they realised how much seeing their partner with someone else turned them on.
Emma writes in her book how this unfolded for the first time when they were approached by another couple in a French club.
She writes: 'The atmosphere was electric... and soon a very attractive couple came and stood beside us, very quickly it became apparent that they fancied having some fun with us, right there and then.
Emma said the response to her books has been overwhelming with people intrigued about her lifestyle
'She started to run her hand up and down my thigh and whispered something in my ear, I looked at Paul and he whispered "what about our ground rules?" I grinned and said "I'm about to break them... just a tiny bit?" A look of pure ecstasy instantly crossed his face, and in a blur I found myself being gently kissed by her partner.'
Emma explained to the MailOnline that 'jealousy was never an issue' between her and Paul, with whom she two grown up children.
She said: 'I feel this is because we had married so young and had grown up and grown into the marriage together and there was never really a his and hers agenda, we simply did things together as one unit.'
Speaking of that first encounter that led to many more, she said: 'I enjoyed seeing other attractive women sexually attracted to Paul, safe in the knowledge that he was mine.
'It was a boost to both our ego's that after seven years of marriage, we were both still attracted to and desired by others. In the elegant club environment of Paris, it was the perfect situation to let go of any inhibitions and to act out your wildest fantasies and fulfill any desires you might wish at the time. It was all available and possible.'
Paul is given the opportunity to write it from his point of view in the latest book and he reveals how swinging has worked for them, while acknowledging it isn't for everyone.
He writes: 'In my personal opinion fate dealt us a great hand all those years ago when we experienced first hand the delights of “swinging” in all its various guises during that first weekend in Paris. It has certainly broadened our horizons in nothing but a positive fashion.
'The people we have met along the way have been some of the kindest and genuine people you'd ever wish to meet in any walk of life, many of which have remained firm and trusted friends to this day.
Emma's first book which she self-published in 2013, left, detailed how she got into the swinging scene as a young woman. The follow up, right, published this year, explains her experiences in her forties and fifties
'I can totally understand this kind of lifestyle and outlook is not suited to everyone, however, when both parties are in tune and on the same wavelength it can be highly rewarding.
'My advice, when asked, has always been to take things slowly at first, discuss the situation fully afterwards and proceed at your own pace. It is also imperative that your relationship is strong and has been built to include a high degree of trust on both sides.'
Emma said that her double life - juggling being a mother at home and a swinger in Paris - added frisson to her sexual encounters and marriage over the years.
When her first book was published she admitted it was not 'for the faint-hearted' but she insists every word is true and while some readers may not condone her behaviour, she hopes others may find it inspiring.
She said: 'I don't in any way class my book as pornography but pure and simple factual erotica written for today's modern woman by a woman who is real and has lived it.
'I hope it inspires women from wherever and whatever age you are, to embrace your sexuality, and explore fully the deep dark erotic side thatwe all have (some hidden deeper than others).'
Since it was published, she was been inundated with fan mail and people interested to learn about her lifestyle, leading her to write the second book.
In it, she details 'some of the finer clubs out there that are worthy of a mention', some of which are private members' clubs.
She said of the response to her first book: 'Surprised is an understatement, stunned is more like it.
'Becoming a number one bestseller on Amazon was beyond amazing and, judging by the vast amounts of emails received from all over the world, the book served as a guide to many who were intrigued and wanted to participate but were unsure as to how/where, as well as being a good factual erotic read detailing my personal journey.
'The book has most certainly tempted a lot of people whether male, female or couples to go forth and explore the delights of swinging.'
