- Said it left her looking like Mick Hucknell or like she was auditioning for Annie
A mother-of-one claimed she was left with pink hair the colour of a 'fruit salad sweet' after she used a blonde toner at home.
Steph Holland, 27, from Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, said she was left looking like singer Mick Hucknell after trying the £4.49 Jerome Russell BBlonder toner.
The NHS worker posted a hilarious one-star review of the product on the Superdrug website and Facebook page, warning others against using it unless they are planning to 'audition for Annie'.

Warning: She criticised the product in a light-hearted customer review on the Superdrug site
She wrote: 'Hi there, after lengthy discussion with the Superdrug staff I bought this toner as I thought the colour was lovely and natural.
'It was great on applying and I thought I was going to look a million bucks* what I wasn't expecting was to wake up looking like Mick Hucknall from Simply Red.'
Steph bought the toner in a bid to even out her ombre hair, which had started to go 'brassy' at the tips.
She bought the product from Superdrug and left it on for 40 minutes before realising it had turned her hair a different colour.
Steph claimed the instructions said it could be left on for a maximum of 45 minutes. She did not carry out a test before using it, as recommended by the manufacturer.
She said: 'It was a disaster, I absolutely hated it. I was livid at the time but then I realised you have to have a bit of humour when these things go wrong.

Pink twist: As she washed out the colour, she noticed it was definitely not blonde
Different hue: The mother-of-one thought it would rinse out but it didn't, pictured
'I don't have a shower at home so I did my hair in the bath. When I got out of the bath and looked in the mirror it had gone a reddy pinkish hue.
'I thought "I'll rinse it and it'll be fine". I rinsed it and it wasn't. I wasn't happy, my hair looked like fruit salad sweets or fruit pastilles with that pinkish tinge.
'My partner Adam just laughed even though he knows how particular I am about my hair.'
The following day she bought an ash brown dye kit to cover the colour.
Jerome Russell Sales & Marketing manager Gillian McClure said: 'At Jerome Russell we want everyone who uses our products to have amazing hair.
