Tom Waterhouse's wife Hoda has shared a photo on Instagram of her daughter Rosie sitting on her grandmother and legendary horse trainer Gai Waterhouse's lap whilst eating pasta with her hands out of her Melbourne Cup winner's trophy.

Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage held the Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse's Derby Day.
The television presenter wore a white glove when handling the prized cup and supported the base with her other hand.
