Australia's most wanted terrorist and the sister of Curtis Cheng's killer die in US air strikes on an IS stronghold in Iraq

An Australian man who was one of Islamic State's highest-ranking recruiters and the sister of the 15-year-old who shot Curits Cheng dead in Parramatta have been killed by air strikes in the Middle East.
The US has advised the Australian Government the nation’s most wanted terrorist, 24-year-old Melbourne-born Neil Prakash, was obliterated in the Islamic State stronghold of Mosul in Iraq.
They also confirmed Sydney-student Shadi Jabar Khalil Mohammad – the sister of Curtis Cheng’s murderer Farhad Jabar – was taken out in a separate US air strike on Al Bab in Syria, reports ABC.

Australia's most wanted terrorist, 24-year-old Melbourne-born Neil Prakash, has been killed by US air strikes
The 24-year-old Melbourne born man was one of Islamic State's highest-ranking recruiters
Prakash, known as Abu Khaled al-Cambodi, has been linked to a number of domestic terror threats including an alleged Anzac Day terror plot in Melbourne.
He climbed the ranks of the group by using social media to persuade members to carry out terror plots as well as travell to the Middle East to take up arms.
The former rapper featured in an alarming IS propaganda video last year which called for atrocities to be carried out in Australia.
His death has been deemed as a major blow to the group’s abilities to lure Australians into committing terror acts.

Australian police were eager to speak with her about her knowledge of the shooting
Shadi Jabar Khalil Mohammad, also a member of the Islamic State, was killed alongside her Sudanese husband.
The student lived in a Parramatta flat before fleeing Australia the day before her brother Farhad Mohammed infamously gunned down police employee Curtis Cheng.
Australian police were eager to speak with her about her knowledge of the shooting, passing her details onto the Turkish police when she was passing through to reach the Middle East.
The Australian Government said the deaths should serve as a warning of the dangers of engaging in terrorism.
