This is the hilarious moment where a Peppa Pig mascot watches in horror as a piñata version of her character is viciously whacked by a small child in front of her.

In a video uploaded on social media by Twitter user @eddd_maisterr, the beloved children's cartoon is seen getting furiously hit by a little girl wearing a pink dress.

The camera then pans out to show Peppa Pig the mascot looking on in terror as her smaller likeness is brutally smashed before her eyes. 

Onlookers also stare as the tiny girl smacks the dangling pink pig in the chest and back with a stripy stick.

Since being uploaded earlier this week the sidesplitting footage has been retweeted more than 155,000 times.

Twitter user @eddd_maisterr, who lists himself as being from Lynwood, California in his bio, added the caption: 'Peppa Shook' with three skull emojis alongside the clip.

Peppa Pig is a children's cartoon character which is shown on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr.

It was first aired back in 2004.
