Newcastle turn to France again as Cabella's dad says midfielder will move this month
French midfielder Remy Cabella is set to join Newcastle United 'this winter', according to the player's father.
Hector Cabella acts as his son's agent and he claims the Geordies are in talks over a £12.3million move for the Montpellier schemer.
He told Actuafoot.fr: 'Yes we are negotiating for Rémy - and yes he will join Newcastle this winter.' Cabella is still set to face Sochaux in Ligue 1 on Saturday night.

Carbella would be the 13th Frenchman in Newcastle's squad if he makes the move. He has scored six goals for Montpellier this season.
Meanwhile, the club are also hoping to seal a swap deal between Papiss Cisse and Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong.
The 23-year-old Holland international is Newcastle’s prime target in the winter transfer window and rated at £12million by his club.
Newcastle, who missed out on the forward when he left FC Twente for Monchengladbach last summer, are willing to sacrifice Senegal striker Cisse to secure a deal.
