Key clash: Joel Campbell (Costa Rica) v Kostas Manolas (Greece)

The Greeks will know all about Campbell after he scored nine goals for Olympiakos last season. Manolas is one of three of the club’s defenders in the Greek squad and surely won’t give Campbell the space he was allowed against Uruguay and Italy in the group stage – with the two knowing each other’s game well, Campbell will need to be extra crafty to create attacking openings.

One to watch: Junior Diaz (Costa Rica)

Diaz provided the quite-brilliant assist for Bryan Ruiz’s goal against Italy and against the traditionally defensively strong Greeks, Costa Rica will need him to provide quality balls into the box again. With Campbell unlikely to find much space, Diaz’s distribution from the left could be key.
