Despite backlash for their Royal Wedding headgear Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie return to the same milliner for more eye-catching creations

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie appear undeterred by widespread criticism of their Royal Wedding headgear – Bea’s hat was dubbed The Pretzel by some.

I’m told the sisters are now commissioning the same milliner, Philip Treacy, to create their hats for the wedding of their cousin Zara Phillips to Mike Tindall, in July.

Princess Anne, the mother of the bride, is also said to be enlisting the Irishman’s help. And far from toning down his designs, Treacy is set cause a stir once more.

‘The hats will be very Philip,’ I’m told. ‘The Princesses only had one fitting for their Royal Wedding hats because they really trust Philip and love his designs.’

Perhaps this time the sisters, pictured left at the wedding last week, will consider the more usual three fittings – just in case.
