And Gwyneth Paltrow certainly looks happy to have escaped the dreary UK winter.

The 41-year-old grinned as she stepped out in tight jeans and a thin-knit sweater on an unseasonably balmy day in Santa Monica on Friday.

The Oscar winner put her Tracey Anderson-honed figure on display in the high-waisted jeans.

Although flattering, the trousers looked a tad too long as Gwyneth looked in danger of tripping over the hem as she walked.

Sources at the event told E! News that Paltrow attended with Chris Martin, 36, her husband of 10 years and the couple looked more in love than ever.

The insider added that Gwyneth 'loved all of the dresses on display' and she and Chris hung out in the Studio 54 lounge with the designer.

While health loving Paltrow is unlikely to have overindulged during the festive season, she recently joined forces with a nutritionist to create a healthy and cleansing meal plan for January.
