Wright-on! Mark Wright celebates 27th birthday with surprise party alongside Michelle Keegan (and a few other familiar faces) in Manchester

His good looks and Hollywood smile have made him a famous face thanks to The Only Way Is Essex.

But even the most die-hard TOWIE fans would've failed to spot the real Mark Wright when he partied in Manchester on Friday night.

The popular TV personality was celebrating his 27th birthday with a surprise party - and found himself joined by a host of friendly imitators.

His long-term girlfriend Michelle Keegan, who stars in ITV's Coronation Street, had organised the party at the All Star Lanes bowling alley and had armed each guest with a party mask of her beau.

Together they appeared as a flash mob for the surprise, which clearly delighted Mark - a man who isn't afraid to admit embrace his appearance.

Wearing a black polar neck and marching skinny jeans, the TV star was sometimes unidentifiable as he stood next his friends. In fact, one man (pictured, centre) wore his mask so convincingly that it looked like Mark himself.

Bizarrely, the only person who seemed to resist the prank was Mark's sister, Jessica Wright, who opted to wear her own trademark mask of make-up and fake tan to the celebrations.

Also sporting a skimpy vest top and a pair of leather-effect trousers, the brunette seemed to defy Manchester's chilly January temperatures with ease.

Fortunately, he was too busy enjoying himself to care. Clearly moved by the efforts made - he took to social networking site Twitter to say: 'Never had a surprise bday party in my life !! Tonight my amazing fiancé made that happen. She's the one !! Diamond !! I love her'.

Keeping it smart/casual , the actress wore a loose-fitting trouser suit and styled her hair into a plait - perfect for some competitive bowling.

Currently, the actress is completing her final few months on Coronation Street, before she leaves the long-running ITV soap in May.

Michelle has played Tina McIntyre since 2007, and her character is currently embroiled in a love affair with married bookmaker Peter Barlow.

Michelle recently opened up about leaving the soap, telling Hello magazine: 'Corrie is all I've known since I got into acting. I'm really excited because it's going to be a massive, explosive ending.

'It's not been an easy decision to make and it's taken a long time for me to say 100 per cent I'm definitely going, but I've got my head round it now and I know that I made the right decision. I'm excited for it now to say goodbye not only to Corrie but to Tina.'
