Reese Witherspoon makes a mad dash across a busy LA street with son Deacon after a mother-son yoga session

Reese Witherspoon's son must be the greatest sport for putting up with his energetic mother.

Not only did Reese's 10-year-old accompany her to yoga class on Saturday, but he let her drag him across the street at rapid pace.

The 37-year-old A-lister was dressed for workout success in black track trousers and a midriff-baring black Maroon 5 T-shirt, as well as comfy pink-and-blue trainers.

She wore her blonde tresses in a casual ponytail and had a large tote packed with more gear slung over shoulder.

Deacon, meanwhile, matched his mother's outfit with a sporty look of his own, looking quite bright and festive in an orange hoodie, red athletic trousers and black-and-blue trainers.

The pre-teen had a large green water bottle in hand and that was very wise considering the thirst he must have worked up even before they got to the exercise studio.

Reese elected to skip the crosswalk and take a short-cut across San Vicente Boulevard in the posh Los Angeles section of Brentwood.

The Walk The Line star grabbed Deacon's hand, looked for any incoming traffic and then, determining it clear, ran across the wide street to the other side.

Afterwards Reese was smiling and thoroughly enjoying herself, while Deacon focused on taking a huge sip of his bottled beverage.

Deacon's sister Ava, aged 14, no doubt elected to stay home with stepfather Jim Toth and baby brother Tennessee, aged 16 months.

Reese got herself in tip-top shape for her recently wrapped film Wild, a true story about a woman who embarks on a perilous 1,100-mile hike after a series of personal traumas.

The movie is set to be released sometime this year, and obviously its star is still up for a few more challenges.
