EXCLUSIVE: From squatting her baby to sleep to late night work outs, Mark Philippoussis wife Silvana Lovin shares her secrets to an amazing post-baby body

With taut abs, toned pins and an enviable bikini body, you would think model Silvana Lovin puts herself through a grueling workout regime.

Yet according to the stunning mother of one - who gave birth to her first child in February - that isn't the case.

The 29-year-old has revealed that the secret to getting back in shape after having a baby was not putting any pressure on herself.

'After birth, I knew my body needed time to recover at its own pace and I just indulged in being a new mum,' she told the Daily Mail Australia.

'The best tip I can give new mums on working out is to try and incorporate exercise into your daily routine.'

From working out her abs while brushing her teeth to exercising while doing laundry, Lovin says she has 'mastered the art' so much so that she can rock her son Nicolas to sleep while doing squats.

'I do squats whilst pulling out clothes from the dryer and I’ve mastered the art of squatting so well that I even squat whilst cradling Nicholas to sleep!

'I also try to suck in my tummy whilst I cradle Nicholas as the side to side action helps work out those muscles.

'Every little bit helps.'

Lovin - who married tennis pro Mark Philippoussis late last year after an 18 month courtship - said morning and afternoon walks with the stroller have also been a great help.

'These days I try to involve Nicholas into my work out regime as all new mums know its hard to find spare time to yourself,' she said.

'For this reason I find that late night work outs work best.

'I just love the way I feel after exercise. It mentally and physically keeps me positive.'

The Australian model said she has always led an active lifestyle, playing different sports growing up and competing in cross country, but had to tone down her regime while pregnant.

'I gave up running as I didn’t like the idea of Nicholas bouncing around inside my belly.

'But once my doctor gave me the go ahead I went for the longest jog ever after birth.

'I missed the free feeling that running used to give me.'

Her relaxed and body-positive attitude seems to have paid off, with Lovin also revealing that she and Philippoussis spent the first 40 days of their son's life spending time with him.

'My husband and I did 40 days confinement at home with our new baby and all I focused on was bonding and nurturing him during that period of time.

'My mind was totally preoccupied on my new bundle of joy.

'Once the 40 days were up, I then started going on lovely walks with baby and slowly started getting back into some light exercise but mainly worked on strengthening my body.'

Clearly in the swing of things and back in fighting shape, the yummy mummy has been 'having a blast' on the first family vacation for the trio.

After a stop in Europe, they have touched down in London where Philippoussis will be playing at Wimbledon in the Invitational Doubles Event on Monday.
