She's taking on a more prominent role in the third series of Hannibal.
And Gillian Anderson was definitely the centre of attention on the NBC drama's set on Tuesday as she got to work filming an upcoming episode of the popular TV series in Florence, Italy.
The 46-year-old actress, who plays the titular cannibal's psychologist Bedelia du Maurier on the show, cut a glamorous figure in a series of colourful coats as she strolled around the city.

Gillian donned an electric blue coat, which she wore belted at the waist and teamed with leather boots and a matching bag.

After a quick change, she emerged wearing a smart taupe coat with a velvet scarf and went bare-legged in the drizzly Italian weather.

It was confirmed this autumn that Gillian had been promoted to a series regular in the new season, which will air next year.
The show is set to pick up one year after Hannibal and Bedelia were seen jetting off to Europe.
