She's the golden girl of Australia's acting scene, boasting a rich two-decade relationship with the Sydney Theatre Company.
But for actress Cate Blanchett, 46, the time has come to make way for home life, prompting her to take a well-deserved break from her involvement with the famed Company.
Speaking to Confidential this week, the mother-of-four revealed that she now has the time to 'enjoy daily life more', and that it is important for her to 'spend as much time as you can enjoying your life with your family and watching your kids grow up'.

In the candid interview, the Lord Of The Rings star revealed that she has had to turn down roles in the past in order to maintain a healthy balance between home and work life.
“It’s always going to be a matter of deciding which film you feel you absolutely need to do and how sometimes you may be involved in other things,' she explained.
She also revealed that she has never struggled to keep the intensity of her on-screen schedule separate from her role as a mother.
“I’ve always been able to maintain a certain distance from my work and I never bring home my work and those intense emotions you often experience on the set. I leave that for audiences,' she said.

In 2008, Cate and her showbiz professional husband Andrew Upton took the helm as co-artistic directors and co-CEOs at the Sydney Theatre Company.
The actress has two big upcoming movies, Carol and Truth, with the former garnering plenty of Oscar buzz for the star, months ahead of its release.
In Truth, the Australian star plays producer Mary Mapes opposite Robert Redford 's US newsman Dan Rather, with the film documenting the controversy around a 2004 report on 60 Minutes about George W. Bush's national guard service.

Network CBS was forced to revoke the story amid a storm of controversy, and the ensuing scandal ended Marples' and Rathers' careers.
'It's emblematic of the problem that readers face in trying to get to anything resembling the truth,' the Oscar-winning actress, who plays Mapes in the movie recently told Reuters. 'The film asks, did the punishment meted out by CBS merit the so-called crime?'
The film has already led to buzz that the role could earn Blanchett her third Oscar. However, the actress may be her own worst competition, as there is also talk she may be also nominated for lesbian love drama Carol.
