But Richie Strahan has declared that he has recovered from being rejected by the brunette beauty - and is ready to look for love again.
The 30-year-old insisted that while he was heartbroken to have been sent packing a week before the final, his heart has now 'mended'.

Speaking to news.com.au, he said he is still eager to find love despite being turned down by the 26-year-old on national television.

'Look I’m feeling OK. Obviously it was filmed a little while ago,' the hunky rope access technician said.
'It was pretty tough not getting that rose and how all that went down. But I’m doing OK now, my heart’s mended.'

Confessing that he was still looking for love, Richie continued: 'The point of doing this show was to hopefully find love, so I’m certainly open to meeting someone but it’s just I want to meet the right girl.'
It comes after the Perth native told of his hurt at being eliminated at the final hurdle, leaving Sasha Mielczarek and Michael Turnbull in the running for Sam's heart.
Appearing on Studio 10, he described the beauty as an 'absolute sweetheart and 'breath of fresh air', gushing: 'She broke my heart'.

Since his departure from the show Sam has done nothing but sing Richie's praises and is lobbying Network Ten to cast him as the next Bachelor.
But the hunk said he is in no rush to return to reality TV in his quest for a soulmate, confessing: 'I really did put myself out there for the Bachelorette
'I’ve got so much to process now that it’s all come to an end.'
