'You are my guardian angel... I'm so proud': Jessica Gomes pays loving tribute to her mother as she completes nursing degree
Jessica Gomes has heaped praise on her mother as she graduated from university with a degree in nursing, paying tribute to her as her 'guardian angel'.
Sharing a photograph of her mother, Pay Yuen, in her cap and gown, the model wrote a lengthy Instagram post describing how proud she was of the achievement.
Her words accompanied a glowing photograph of her mother as she stood in her cap and gown, beaming after a graduation ceremony.

Gushing over her Singaporean mother, the David Jones ambassador wrote: 'I'm so proud of my beautiful mother who graduated from university for nursing.
'(You look so good) You are my rock, my inspiration & the strongest woman I know. I know you hate me posting this (you said I could if I didn't mention your age haha) but I had to share this with the world because people need to hear more of these good stories.
'Maybe you can inspire someone to pursue something they've always dreamed of doing at any age or time.

'I love you so much no words can describe how much I care & how much I miss you so much.'
Continuing her lengthy tribute, the model said: 'You are my guardian angel, my soul and my light at the end of a dark day. When you tell me you pray for me everyday I can feel it.'
Jessica went on to say she was 'glad' she had met her Portuguese father, adding: 'I'll always be your baby girl.
The 30-year-old finished her post: 'Respect to you I'm so proud to be your daughter! See dreams do come true! It's never to late do something you've always wanted to do.
'Even when people told you otherwise! Don't listen to the haters! Just do it!'

Meanwhile, her mother has described her pride for her daughter, recalling when she left home for New York to pursue a modelling career when she was just 17.
In an interview with Perth Now, she said: 'In the earlier stages, our family never stopped worrying about her.
'We were blown away when we first saw Jess in a magazine. We were very proud of her.'
