Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick set to go his own way again as divorce from third wife Lynn Frankel is finalised

Drummer Mick Fleetwood has divorced his third wife, after 20 years of marriage.

The Fleetwood Mac sticksman, 68, filed for legal separation from Lynn Frankel Fleetwood in March 2013, but they remained legally married until a judge finalised their divorce on November 20 this year.

Court records obtained by People magazine on Tuesday reportedly omit details on how the pair, who tied the knot in July 1995 and have two children, will divide their assets.

They also don't state how the drummer and his ex-wife will handle custody of their 13-year-old twin daughters Tessa and Ruby or whether child support will be paid.

A report from TMZ in 2013, claimed father-of-four Mick cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation.

The website claimed at the time that the report said Fleetwood wanted joint legal custody of the couple's daughters but wanted Lynn to have primary physical custody.

The Fleetwood Mac co-founder also claimed all of his premarital musical royalties and memorabilia were his property.

When it comes to relationships, Fleetwood has had a colourful history.

His first wife Jenny Boyd was the sister of George Harrison's first wife Patti. The pair married in 1970 and had two daughters Lucy and Amy.

After their marriage broke down, he became romantically involved with bandmate Stevie Nicks. However, he soon struck up a relationship with one of Nicks’s best friends, Sara Recor.

The relationship hurt Nicks and inspired her to write the hit single Sara.

Fleetwood and Sara, who eventually wed, were ostracised by their friends, including the rest of the band. That marriage lasted seven years, before, bizarrely, he remarried Jenny.

But their second union was no more successful than the first, and having divorced again, he married third wife Lynn, mother of their twin girls.

The band are one of the most successful acts of all time. Their legendary 1977 album Rumours stayed at Number One in the U.S. charts for 31 weeks, and has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide, producing a slew of chart-topping singles.

In 2013 the band reunited with its original Rumours era line-up for its lucrative On With The Show world tour.
