In her new sitcom, Telenovela, the Latino-rights activist stars as Ana Sofia Calderon, an aging (by Hollywood standards) Mexican soap opera actress who doesn't speak Spanish.
The comedy is centered around the drama that goes on behind the show.
Real life telenovela actor and singer JenCarlos Canela, 27, stars as Eva's ex husband Xavier Castillo, who brings drama to Ana's life when he's cast as her co-star. Amaury Nolasco, 44, is Rodrigo, the show's villain.
