But on Wednesday night Ed Sheeran surprised his Sydney fans with a special duet performance alongside legendary singer, Sir Elton John.
The pair took to the stage together during the second half of the 24-year-old's concert to perform a number of hits together.

Wearing his iconic sunglasses, Elton, 68, sat comfortably behind his piano, while Ed strung his guitar and sang to a crowd of 48,000 at Allianz Stadium, Sydney
The two hitmakers did a rendition of the Grammy Hall Of Fame recipient's smash 1993 hit, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, along with multiple unreleased songs by Ed.
Dedicated fan Kate Hoare told Daily Mail Australia that the crowd 'stood up and clapped and screamed for five minutes,' when Elton first surprised them on stage.

Earlier in the night, Ed hinted at a special guest that had 'influenced him in writing songs' during the first stages of his career.

Another unexpected surprise on the night was the weather, with the sold-out crowd facing a heavy downpour of rain as a severe thunderstorm moved through Sydney.
Wednesday night's performance by British star Ed was his last in Australia before he heads over to Auckland, New Zealand for his December 12 concert.
