'Leaving us surprises even now': Duncan Jones pays a touching tribute to late father David Bowie as its revealed the Black Star vinyl album has a magical secret
David Bowie's last album, Black Star, was said to be a parting gift to his fans, but it seems that the iconic musician had one last trick up his sleeve that's only just been discovered.
As according to eagle-eyed fans on the picture sharing site Imgur, the gatefold of the Vinyl version of the album turns into a star-spangled nebula - as opposed to the titular black star.
And no one was more touched with the discovery than his son, Duncan Jones, who tweeted a heart-felt message with a link to the news, writing: 'Leaving us surprises even now. So clever. So missed.'

A magical man: David Bowie fans have discovered the gatefold of the Vinyl version of the Black Star album turns into a star-spangled nebula - and his son Duncan Jones was left touched by the magical secret
The news was first brought to light on the popular picture sharing site, when one fan posted a picture of the album's sleeve.
Opened up, and minus the precious LP inside, the image shows the familiar artwork of Bowie's twenty seventh album.
However, there's one magical difference, as there is a shining nebula of golden stars replacing the black star in the middle of the artwork.
'Leaving us surprises even now. So clever. So missed.' The 44-year-old Moon director was so touched by the discovery, that he tweeted a heart-felt message with a link to the news
Accompanying the image is one fan's stunned and delighted reaction, which reads: 'A friend discovered that if you expose the Blackstar gatefold to sunlight a starfield appears (sic).'
Before adding touchingly: 'What a beautiful secret.'
And it seems that David's only son, Duncan - from his marriage to first wife Angie Bowie - was equally as taken aback by the secret, saying that his 'clever' father was still 'so missed'.

Duncan wasn't the late star's only child, as he also had daughter Alexandria, 15, with his second wife, Iman.
Following David's death a documentary made shortly before his death was released, in which Iman, 60, shed some light on their long-lasting love.
Speaking about her relationship with the enigmatic musical pioneer, she explained the artist was just David at home - he left the musician on the stage.
'We both understand the difference between the person and the persona,' the 60-year-old explained. 'When we are home, we are just Iman and David. We’re not anybody else.'
