She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a rare form of blood cancer, which put her life on hold as she was pursuing dreams of Hollywood stardom in 2014.
But Australian actress Tessa James, who two weeks ago celebrated her 25th birthday, showed off her renewed confidence in a glamorous photo shoot.
The former Home And Away star exuded an inner glow as she poses arms across her chest in a series of striking photographs.

Tessa, perhaps best known for her role as Nicole Franklin on Home and Away, shows off her tanned and slender physique and longer hair style as she poses wearing just a white skirt.
Her pixie-style hair appears longer and is styled in a side parting and she wears only a dusting of makeup for a natural look.
In stark contrast, she covers up in a black and white image in a long flowing black dress as she perches on two wooden boxes, all doe-eyed and angelic-looking.

Last year, after she was given the all-clear by doctors, Tessa spoke of her battle with the disease, telling Sunday Night: 'No one should have to go through that.'
The petite star had been following her Hollywood dream in LA when she found a lump above her collarbone in a moment that turned her life upside down.

She returned home to her native Australia and, with the help of husband NRL player Nate Myles and her family, overcame the illness.
Today, she has spoken of her plans to reconquer Hollywood and to start a family saying: ‘There are high stats of people my age having had treatment who have children, so I hope that is in the future for us.'
In April she celebrated her one-year-anniversary of being cancer free as she marked her 25th birthday with a boat cruise around Sydney.

For the double occasion, she was joined by her husband, best friend actress Jodi Anasta, NRL player Daly Cherry-Evans and his partner Vessa Rockliff, and former NRL player Dan Conn and his new girlfriend, MKR star Lynzey Murphy.
On the day, Nate shared a tender image on Instagram of the couple at the party, showing him planting a tender kiss on her head.
'A BIG happy birthday to the lady I just wanna see smiling and laughing...I love you,' he wrote warmly.
