Scrapped: Megan Gale was set to star as Wonder Woman in George Miller's Justice League movie, but was left disappointed when the film was scrapped
The hotly-anticipated film was set for a 2009 release, but it was shelved indefinitely following the Writers Guild strike and other production obstacles.
At the time, Miller promised Megan he would work with her on another movie and he stayed true to his word.
The Australian director penned the role of desert warrior Valkyrie in Mad Max: Fury Road solely for the 40-year-old model.
'It was unfortunate that it didn't happen, but it was great because I got to meet George Miller and he then wanted to work with me again and he created a role for me in Mad Max: Fury Road,' she said.

Comic fans were given a taste of what could have been when Mark Rogers released photos of Megan in full Wonder Woman get-up last year.
'It was a really lovely surprise, because I hadn't seen [the photos] for seven years,' Megan said.
'We were just doing costume trials...we just did full dress, costume and hair and wardrobe, and we did a photo shoot. But I'm glad that we got that far into production that we had those photos!'
Megan said she has not yet seen Israeli actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
She has just started shooting as the new judge in Australia's Next Top Model.
In what will be the show's tenth season, the Perth-born model will be joined by familiar faces; Alex Perry, Jennifer Hawkins and Cheyenne Tozzi, and also new faces including Jordan and Zac Stenmark.
