'A full but wonderful day with all my loved ones': Model Jodi Anasta reveals her Mother's Day plans with daughter Aleeia

She took on the role as a single mother six months ago.

Now model Jodi Anasta has revealed how she intends to spend her first Mother's Day as a single woman. 

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday the 31-year-old explained she will enjoy the annual day with her two-year-old daughter Aleeia as well as her close family and friends.

She explained she will begin the day with 'a gorgeous breakky with my friends and Aleeia' before relocating to the Sydney Aquarium for lunch with her mother Bronwyn Gordon.

'It will be a full but wonderful day with all my loved ones,' Jodi continued to tell Daily Mail Australia.

As she gushed with excitement for the upcoming day, the Myer ambassador spoke highly about her own mother, saying she has learnt many life lessons from her mum.

Jodi said she taught her 'how to be strong and independent'.

Going on to add, 'she encourages me to see life from a different perspective'.

Late last month the former Home And Away actress told Daily Mail Australia at her Mon Purse collection launch that she hoped her daughter would see the hard work she has put in as a single mother.

'She understands what my job is, she'll pick up a magazine or if it's on TV and (she'll) go "mummy mummy!"

'I just like to think that she sees me as a hard working mother doing the best I can in a world where it's not always easy to work.'

Jodi, who announced her split from former husband Braith Anasta in December, added that the pair were supportive of one another and eager to succeed as co-parents.

Asked how the pair were coping with parenting whilst no longer together, she said: 'It's amazing.

'I make sure the days I’m not working we have really good quality time together and she has a great time with me and a great time with Braith and I think together you only have to look at the little girl that she is (to see) that she’s thriving, she’s in her element, she’s intelligent, she’s funny and very entertaining.' 

Jodi welcomed their daughter in 2014. Following news of her split from Braith, the 34-year-old former NRL player said he felt she had put her career on hold to have children.
