Blue-haired Lily Allen cuts a cool figure in a military-style coat as she indulges in a spot of retail therapy in London

She's had a testing month, having seen her stalker convicted as well as facing a backlash from Twitter users following comments she made to Rita Ora in the wake of Prince's death.

And Lily Allen, 31, underwent some retail therapy on Tuesday, treating herself to a new purchase in London.

The singer-come-record label boss appeared to have added to her collection of sportswear as she was seen clutching a brown paper Nike bag.

Lily dressed down for the outing in a military-style jacket with torn-effect sleeves worn over a striped top.

She matched the items with a pair of navy joggers and some comfy trainers as well as a quilted blue over-the-shoulder bag.

The star was instantly recognisable due to her bright blue locks which she wore tied back in a messy updo.

She cut a relaxed figure as she chatted on her phone while waiting to be picked up. She raised her hand and hailed her lift, before climbing into the sleek sports car.

Following Prince's shock death on April 21, tributes poured in for the star on social media, with Rita Ora sharing a lengthy post recalling the time they had worked together on the 2015 hit Ain't About 2 Stop.

The RIP singer wrote: 'This is coming from a place I never new existed in my heart. You were so special to me your presence the music we created the dance-off's we used to have the laughing we shared.

'The funk oozing out of you was un-controllable. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself but I will miss you forever and always. I love you my dear kind friend. [sic].'

She continued: 'May all my prayers go to his family the whole band (you know who you are, I love you all so much) anybody who felt even one little bit of what I was lucky enough to experience face to face, and let us keep alive the one thing he knew would last forever, his music. I love you P. I will never forget you. Love your Rita.[sic].

As several fans rushed to agree with the star's kind words, Lily merely replied: 'pics or it didn't happen,' which some followers took to be in bad taste.

'Jealous flop b***h,' one user commented, whilst another added: 'Are you being serious ??? WTF.'

Clarifying her comments, Lily later added: 'I didn't mean that in a mean way, I'm just jealous you were so close to my idol. #superfan #ritabots go IN.'
