Just weeks ago when she filmed an analysis of how the elderly get treated in society by transforming into an old woman.
After undergoing four hours of prosthetics and make-up, the actress finally became 'Doris' and mentioned: 'It was a pretty brutal experience. I thought it was going to be fun and exciting but it just wasn't.'
She also mentioned that she felt 'invisible' after going undercover for BBC Radio 5 Live.
'I only went through it for a few hours but it's left me with a really heavy heart,' said Roxanne- who is an ambassador for Age UK.

Continuing about her experience and the lack of help she received, she mentioned: 'No one was assisting me and it was obvious I needed help. 'One man barged me when I was walking down the street, it was like I didn't matter.
'There's a lot of chivalry out there but it doesn't seem to apply to older people and that's not right and it's not fair.'
Since leaving Emmerdale in 2008, Roxanne has appeared in the stage production of the Rocky Horror Show and is set to star in the British film The Violaters this coming June.
