Trying to avoid a scandal? Bachelor In Paradise's on-set barman 'closely monitors the contestants' drinking'... after the US version was the centre of a sexual misconduct storm
Bachelor In Paradise Australia is expected to debut in the coming months, promising romance, partying and plenty of drama.
But it looks like producers were keen to avoid any bad press after the US version of the series was embroiled in a sexual misconduct scandal.
The contestants' alcohol consumption was reportedly closely monitored during filming at the Mango Bay Resort in Fiji last year.

Monitored alcohol consumption: It looks like Bachelor In Paradise producers were keen to avoid any bad press after the US version of the series was embroiled in a misconduct scandal
OK! magazine reported: 'Each contestant had their own accommodation just steps from the pristine Namatakula Beach and could enjoy drinks – while closely monitored by the on-set barman so no-one got too tipsy – at the swim-up bar.'
Bachelor in Paradise USA abruptly ceased filming after an alleged sexual misconduct incident involving misuse of alcohol during last year's season in Mexico.
Perhaps in order keep the cast under a watchful eye, the Australian version was filmed on a 'specifically built set within the grounds of Fiji's Mango Bay resort.'

Bachelor in Paradise USA pressed pause on filming just a few episodes into season four, with producers releasing an official statement explaining the decision.
'We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico,' the statement read.
Producers supposedly witnessed contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson 'getting extremely sexual in the swimming pool'.

It was later alleged that Corinne was drunk while naked in the island's hot tub.
'They could have seen that she was drinking too much and that (DeMario) was taking advantage,' a contestant of the show reportedly said.
