Australia's long-running soap, Home And Away, is known for putting viewers through a roller-coaster of emotions.  

And on Wednesday, cast members were seen filming a highly-dramatic rescue scene on the Palm Beach set in Sydney.

Young actress Olivia Deeble, who plays Raffaela (Raffy) Morrison, was seen lying unconscious as loved ones frantically attempted to revive her.

The 15-year-old appeared in trouble as she lay beside an upturned boat on the sandy shoreline.

Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers, was seen noticeably distressed by the situation as Shane Withington, who plays John Palmer, attempted to comfort her.

A helping hand didn't appear far, as another Summer Bay local appeared nearby to assist with the tense situation.

Sophie's character is engaged to Brody on the show, after proposing to him with a sign that read 'Marry Me?'

After reaching the unresponsive Raffy, it's believed Brody began CPR as a resuscitation technique.

A worried Marilyn lingered nearby, with a look of shock cast over her face.

Dressed like her usually bubbly self, she wore a bright aqua-coloured cover up for the scene.

John assisted with Brody, as Marilyn was seen chatting to someone on the phone while pacing around the group.

Coming to, Raffy lay on her side as the two gave her concerning looks.

While the scene appeared quite serious, the stars let off steam in a light-hearted manner after the fillming ended.

Olivia was seen smiling and giving a hand-horns gesture, which is often linked to saying 'rock on!'
