'I'm just a bloke out of my element!' House Rules' David admits he's 'not proud' of his emotional outbursts on the Channel Seven show
Fans of House Rules were shocked to watch him throw his hands up in the air and declare to his wife Chiara that he was quitting the show.
But seeing the way he handled the pressure of the Channel Seven show play out on TV screens, David has revealed he's 'not proud' of his behaviour and admitted he didn't realise the competition would be so testing.
Speaking to Confidential on Thursday he said: '(Watching it back) it's hit me a little bit the way I react to things.'

'I'm a bloke out of my element and I'm not proud of the things I've done. But it's the hardest thing I've done in my life,' he told the publication about his time on the reality show.
Tempers flared between David and Leigh, from Team Victoria with Kristie, over floor space in Josh and Brandon's renovation a recent episode.
'Leigh is a hot head like myself so we didn't communicate properly for the whole reno. I ended up apologising just so I could move on but I still don't think I was in the wrong,' David explained.

This is not the first time the FIFO worker has been overcome with emotion on the show.
In an early episode, Chiara told David to pull himself together following a heated row over lighting in the hallway, the entry and master bedroom.
She explained that she was a naturally fiery person, particularly when frustrated, and had reached boiling point with her husband.

David tried to explain himself saying: 'I was not coping with the pressure today.'
Chiara said: 'Well Dave you have to cope otherwise what the f*** are you doing here?'
'Pull yourself together, you reckon you can do this sh**, so f***ing do it,' she demanded.
The couple share three children, son Seth, eight, daughter Taya, six, and their youngest, three-year-old Ellie Mae.
