How Trevor Noah had a cameo in Black Panther as the voice of A.I. system Griot... and no one seems to have noticed
You knew Vin Diesel was Groot, but did you know Trevor Noah is Griot?
The Daily Show host, 34, had a secret cameo appearance in Black Panther providing the voice of the A.I. system that directs Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) in a Wakandan battle scene as he commandeers a virtual plane.
Reps for the talk show host told The Wrap that Noah did provide his voice in the scene, as his name was listed in the credits which was caught by a Reddit user.

The Johannesburg, South Africa native's character's name, Groit, is defined as storyteller in West African dialect.
On his show this past February, Noah said the Disney-Marvel motion picture was 'extra special' to him with its use of South Africa's Xhosa language.
'There were subtitles, and I was like, "I don’t need your subtitles! I don’t need your subtitles!"' Noah said on The Daily Show. 'This is just for me right now! Nobody else listen! This reminds me of my mom.'
He called the movie 'an amazing Marvel film' and made clear that it was one for all audiences to enjoy.

'I guess some people got too hyped up the wrong way about it and they were like, "So is it a black film?" No it's a film. The same way Wonder Woman was a dope movie and if you were a woman, it was extra special.
'And if you're black you're just like, "Yeah, this is an amazing movie."'
The comic-based film stars an ensemble cast of Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Florence Kasumba, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya and Michael B. Jordan.
It has been one of the biggest smash hits at the box office this year, taking in $1.34 billion internationally, second to only its fellow Marvel Universe offering Avengers: Infinity War, which featured Boseman, Kasumba, and Gurira reprising their roles.
It's at the ninth spot in the top 10 of all-time grossing films, having surpassed mega-hits like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Frozen.
