Bella Varelis is one of the front-runners to win Locky Gilbert's heart on The Bachelor.

And on Wednesday, footage surfaced of the 25-year-old getting emotional while watching her red carpet arrival alongside her friends and family.

At a private viewing party in Sydney, the marketing professional was seen holding back tears as her mother sobbed into a tissue beside her.

Bella's first meeting with Locky, which was filmed months ago, appeared to be hard for some of the guests at the viewing party to watch.

Footage shared to Instagram by one of Bella's friends showed her mother, Kim, choking back tears with a bunch of tissues at the ready.

The scene may have been emotional for the Varelis family, as Bella referenced on the show a heart necklace given to her by her father when she was younger. 

Could it be Bella? Chelsie noted, however, that Bella Varelis, who is also rumoured to make it to the finale, was given a similar 'winner's theme'

Meanwhile, Bella covered her face with her hands as she watched herself on TV. 

One of her friends said 'Oh, the music is sad!' as Bella began crying.

'We are all so proud of you,' a friend captioned footage from the viewing party, in a telling clue that she might not win the competition.

However, it's important to note that Bella did not show any aversion towards Locky while reacting to the premiere.

Earlier in the night, Bella had looked in high spirits as she drank red wine and held a novelty rose at the party.

Bella is one of the bookies' favourites to win the show, alongside 31-year-old nurse Irena Srbinovska.
