Nurse Irena Srbinovska is the current bookies' favourite to win Locky Gilbert's heart on The Bachelor.

And last year's winner, Chelsie McLeod, has revealed the telling clues in the season premiere that appear to confirm Irena will indeed be the last woman standing.

While watching the show with a friend on Wednesday, Chelsie revealed on Instagram that she'd worked out the secret 'code' that gives away the outcome.

As soon as Irena stepped out of the limousine and met Locky, Chelsie noticed the distinctive soundtrack that is associated with winning contestants.

'Ooh, winner's music!' she said excitedly, before adding: 'Top four surely... that music. She's cute.'

But the plot thickened when Bella Varelis, who is also rumoured to make it to the finale, was given a similar 'winner's theme'.

But chemical engineer Chelsie observed later in the episode that another moment between Locky and Irena tipped the odds back in her favour.

She said that Irena's bold gesture of checking Locky's heartbeat with a stethoscope was remarkably similar to how she had greeted Matt Agnew on The Bachelor in 2019.

Chelsie went on to win Matt's season, but they broke up a few months later.

Irena is currently Sportsbet's favourite to win the competition with odds of $1.75, followed closely by Bella at $3.

Their closest rival is aspiring actress Marlaina McPhillips at $5.50.
