Romania - Factors to watch on Nov 2
BUCHAREST, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and events to watch which may affect Romanian financial markets on Monday.
DEBT TENDER
Romanian debt managers tender 300 million lei ($74.63 million) worth of Dec. 2022 treasury bonds.
Romania aims to sell 3.2 billion lei ($790.98 million) in leu currency bills and bonds in November and another 330 million lei in non-competitive offers.
FX RESERVES
The central bank will release foreign exchange reserves data for October.
CLUB FIRE
Two young Romanian women died of severe burns in hospital on Sunday after having been rescued from the fire at a Bucharest nightclub on Friday, doctors said, raising the death toll to 29, Sunday in one of the capital's worst disasters in decades.
A third one died late on Sunday.
The government declared three days of national mourning on Saturday, following the fire, which also left 184 injured during a rock concert that featured the use of fireworks indoors.
A criminal investigation into the causes of the incident is underway.
JOBLESS DATA
Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged in September from August at 6.8 percent, the National Statistics Board said on Friday.
CEE MARKETS
Shares of Hungary's biggest bank, OTP, plunged more than 5 percent at the opening on Friday, while most Central European markets were calm in the last session of a shaky month.
