The University of Miami's newest golf recruit was asking the tough questions to PGA stars Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler as well as their LIV counterparts Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka on Tuesday outside Las Vegas.

Kai Trump, the 17-year-old high school golfer and granddaughter of the president-elect, interviewed all four linksman ahead of an exhibition dubbed, The Showdown. And everything was apparently fair game as the future Hurricanes golfer asked about everything from Scheffler's arrest to McIlroy's putting woes.

'Today I'm here with?' Kai asked, making the four-time major winner introduce himself to her social media followers.

Her Instagram followers immediately picked up on the humorous tone of the interviews and responded by comparing Kai to her grandfather, Donald.

'She's funny!!' one commenter wrote. 'Got Grandpa's straight faced humor!'

'This is great!' another added. 'Love the questions and deadpan asking of the tough ones! Ha ha.'

Kai asked Scottie Scheffler about his arrest in Louisville, which he described as 'boring'

Kai asked Scottie Scheffler about his arrest in Louisville, which he described as 'boring'

To her credit, Kai was unflappable while speaking to the golfers about some of their most sensitive issues.

For instance, Kai asked about McIlroy's collapse at the 2024 US Open, where he bogeyed three of the final four holes by missing a few easy puts en route to a second-place finish behind DeChambeau

'How's the putting stroke feeling?' Kai asked McIlroy, in apparent nod to the US Open.

'Uh, it's feeling OK,' McIlroy said hours before draining a 40-foot eagle putt on a par-5. 'It sort of comes and goes, but right now it feels alright.'

As for his chances in The Showdown, McIlroy accurately predicted he and Scheffler would do fine, given his partner's spectacular play in recent months.

'I've got a good partner,' McIlroy said before and Scheffler breezed to victory. 'I've got the best player in the world as my partner. So I'm feeling pretty good.'

Next up was Scheffler, whose remarkable 2024 included two major victories and $62 million in winnings.

It also included his bizarre arrest at the 2024 PGA Championship in Louisville, where the PGA star was charged for allegedly assaulting a police officer during a parking dispute, only to have the charges dropped.

'Scottie, you're too nice, but how was jail?' Kai asked.

To his credit, Scheffler was unfazed.

'Honestly, it was a bit boring, he said. 'There's not really much to do in there. I was in a cell by myself. Just kind of sitting there, looking at the walls.'

Kai responded with a reference to his jumpsuit-clad mugshot.

'Orange is not a bad color on you, honestly,' she said. 'You pulled it off. Just like Tiger Woods.'

Scheffler, a University of Texas at Austin alum, couldn't help but pay homage to his alma mater's color scheme with his response: 'I prefer the burnt orange rather than the jail-cell orange.'

But Kai was equally tough with the pros from LIV Golf – the Saudi-backed tour that has partnered with her grandfather on several tournaments.

'Today I'm here with?' Kai asked the reigning US Open champion.

'Bryson DeChambeau,' he dutifully responded.

Kai them recalled 'the last time' DeChambeau played in a similar exhibition, he was 'destroyed by' Koepka.

Asked how he feels now that they're teammates, DeChambeau said he was happy to rely on his long-time rival.

'He's gonna carry me the whole way to victory, clearly,' DeChambeau said.

Kai didn't argue: 'That's what I thought.'

As for Koepka, he may have gotten off easy with a question about his favorite reality show.

'Uh, 90-Day Fianceé,' said, prompting an immediate agreement from Kai.

'That's a good one,' she said.

'There's a lot of good spinoffs there,' he continued. 'I watch it with my wife all the time, laying in bed, relaxing and falling asleep to it. It's great.'

Kai enthusiastically added that she watches the show with her mother, Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi, Donald Trump Jr.'s ex wife and the heiress to the Rao's Homemade Pasta Sauce fortune.

As for the event itself, the PGA stars had no trouble with their LIV rivals, winning in just 14 holes.

'Rory getting off to a great start was big for our team,' Scheffler said.

For the win, Scheffler and McIlroy each received $5 million in cryptocurrency.
