Russell Crowe's ex-wife Danielle Spencer is making a bid to relaunch her pop career, 14 years after she disappeared from the spotlight.
The Australian singer, 55, has burst back onto the Aussie music scene with her electropop comeback single Regenerate.
A cover for the new song shows Danielle, who married Russell Crowe in 2003, dripping in rhinestone teardrops and thick black eyeliner.
The single is her first release in 14 years and teases a forthcoming album that will tell the story of her 'deeply personal evolution' since her public marriage breakdown.
'My new song is about shaking yourself out of complacency and being a passive observer of your own life,' she told Daily Mail Australia on Monday.
Danielle said the anthem is about 'finding the courage to actively re-engage, reboot and take centre stage in [her] own life.'

She added that the single, which will be the first track on her forthcoming album, charts her journey from 'going through the motions.'
In 2013, Danielle's ex husband Russell admitted hat he wrote songs about his inevitable divorce with his ex-wife long before it was finalised in 2018.
The Gladiator actor said he knew their union was doomed in 2011, and some tracks on his album The Crowe/ Doyle Songbook were directed at Danielle, and these were titled Sadness Of A Woman and Too Far Gone.
The two-time Golden Globe award-winner admitted that he even 'tricked' Danielle into singing on that album with him.
He pretended that another woman was recording with him, but that was never the case, and he told Danielle this in the hopes that she would get jealous and offer to sing with him, and it worked.
Meanwhile Danielle released her last solo album in 2010, two years prior to their separation.
'At various stages in life, it can feel as though your batteries have run down,' Danielle said.
'And you have to regenerate in order to move forward. The time feels right to release new music. I felt like I had things I wanted to say about this stage of my life. And I feel ready to put it out there.'

Danielle performed her new single Regenerate live for the first time at fundraising concert OzHarvest Unite to Feed Australia Live! and the special will air on Tuesday on Channel Seven from 7.30pm.
In a teaser video for the pre-recorded music special, Danielle took style cues from pop comeback queens Madonna and Kylie Minogue in a dramatic black gown that features a cinched corset bodice.
Danielle showed off her operatic range as she raised her arms with the swell of the drums and live instruments, belting out her lyrics with raw emotion into the microphone.
The singer and songwriter said she hopes to inspire other women to embrace change and rediscover their strength.

The couple share two children together, Charles, 21, Tennyson, 18, and still have a close relationship 12 years after their split.

'Twenty years ago today, I married the father of my boys,' she captioned the post, which included a rare intimate image of the actor with his sons as children.
'While it is no longer our anniversary, it is still that guy's birthday. Happy Birthday @russellcrowe,' she added.
Danielle has also previously spoken about her unique relationship with her ex and how they co-parent their teenage sons.
The singer told Daily Mail Australia at the premiere of Russell's film Poker Face in 2022 that they are still very much friends and 'catch up when they can'.
'We catch up when we can. We're a divided family so when we can see each other, that's lovely,' she explained.
Russell is now dating 31-year-old American actress turned real estate agent Britney Theriot.
He has been linked to his current partner since 2020, and it's reported that they met on the set of Broken City in 2013.
