The statement was given a double meaning following his shock elimination moments later however, as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! lost its biggest threat.

During Pete's elimination interview with Julia and co-host Dr. Chris Brown, a picture-in-picture image of Fiona sobbing was played on-screen.

Prior to his elimination, Pete was the favourite to win the show with bookmakers, with one sight boasting odds as low $1.70.
