Unmarked police car 'hit by gunfire' in London housing estate as rounds strike its windscreen and grille

- Nobody was injured in the incident and no arrests have yet been made
An unmarked police car was hit by a number of bullets while it was driving through a north London housing estate overnight.
Officers believe the car was hit on Mitchell Way, Neasden in the St Raphael's Estate in Neasden, north west London.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.

Scotland Yard confirmed that officers were in 'conducting enquiries' in the area when it was struck at 12.25am this morning.
A spokesman said: 'At this early stage, it is believed that the damage may have been caused by a firearm discharge.
'It is not currently believed that the officers were specifically targeted and a search of the area discovered similar damage to street furniture and signage.'
Inquiries continue and no arrests have been made, the spokesman said.
