Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel take baby Axl on trip to the zoo

Fergie and Josh Duhamel sure seemed to enjoy their family visit to the Los Angeles Zoo, but it all seemed a bit much for baby Axl.

The parents were thrilled to show their 10-month-old son all the wonderful wild animals at the sprawling 133-acre park nestled in the hills of Los Angeles.   

Fergie, 39, was seen smilingly pushing Axl along in his stroller past one of the enclosures, but the tow-headed tot seemed to be more interested in snoozing.

Axl lay back in his pram with eyes closed and trainer-clad feet propped up comfortably while bundled up in blue trousers, a white top and blue print bandana.

At another point during the sojourn when the baby boy was awake, Josh, 41, hoisted Axl in his arms to show him around some more.

Axl seemed amazed and perhaps overwhelmed by all the people and the other baby strollers gliding by.

Fergie, meanwhile, showed off more that svelte post-pregnancy physique in denim cut-offs, a black tank T-shirt emblazoned with a glaringly red graphic and black leather ankle boots.

A wide-brimmed black hat shaded her face from the bright sun along with dark-tinted sunglasses, while a red plaid shirt was tied snugly around her waist in case she got cold later.

Josh followed suit by wearing a baseball cap and dark shades, along with light-coloured clothing to deflect the heat including faded jeans and grey T-shirt.

The couple, who welcomed their first child last year on August 29, are keen to expand the family.

'We definitely want another one but there are no plans anytime in the near future,' Fergie told Us Weekly in April.

She's still enjoying her time with Axl while getting back to work on all her various projects.

'It's all about balance,' Fergie added. 'It's all about increments. I've been learning to balance my time in smaller chunks. That's the secret.'

One of her gigs was developing 24 shades of nail colour for Wet n Wild cosmetics, and at a recent glamorous photo shoot for the company, The Black Eyed Peas singer indicated that she likes to dress up for date nights with Josh too.

'He loves me natural all the time, but now because I do natural a lot, he loves when I do a bright red lip,' Fergie told People. 'He thinks that’s sexy. I’ve noticed that he really likes that.'
