'What a shambles!' I'm A Celebrity hit by technical difficulties as Ant tries to deliver news to Ferne on the phone... before she cuts him off due to bad signal
In the middle of the Australian jungle, phone signal isn't going to be great.
So it's perhaps no surprise that when I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec attempted to make a call to camp on Thursday night's episode, it turned into a bit of a shambles.
The show saw the camp divided into four teams of three for a mind-boggling task, with the winning team granted immunity from this week's eviction, while the losing team would be sent to the Danger Zone where they will face the public vote.

Towards the end of the episode, Ant needed to tell the camp who had won the task so he rung through to the red telephone box in the camp from his iPhone.

He struggled to get through to Vicky Pattison on the phone, so he was unable to tell her that her team - consisting also of George Shelley and Duncan Bannatyne - were victorious.
Luckily, the news was confirmed via loudspeaker, with Ant and Dec joking: 'Why didn't they do that in the first place?'

Whoops: Ferne hung up on Ant after being cut off due to a bad signal as he tried to deliver some bad news

Decision-making time: It was up to camp leader Vicky Pattison and her deputy George Shelley to decide who goes in which teams
Decision makers: Ant rung the camp live to give them the news, and the red team were told to go to the Bush Telegraph where they needed to choose the losing team who would face the public vote
Time to talk: Towards the end of the episode, Ant needed to tell the camp who had won the task so he rung through to the red telephone box in the camp from his iPhone
But the technical difficulties didn't end there because once Vicky, George and Duncan were inside the Bush Telegraph, they clearly couldn't hear Ant as they continued talking among themselves despite Ant's attempts to get their attention.
Luckily, the trio eventually responded and were told they'd won the task, but that they needed to choose a team to banish to the Danger Zone where they'd not only be put up for eviction, but would have to survive on a diet of rice and beans.
The trio chose the green team - Lady C, Susannah Constantine and Yvette Fielding - because Lady C quit the task prematurely.

Fans of the show seemed to find the lighter side of the technical difficulties, taking to Twitter to vent their thoughts.

Another added: 'Loooooool I'm a Celeb is too much, the way fern shut the phone on Ant his reaction was priceless' [sic].
Another wrote: 'The end of I'm A Celeb turned into a shambles. However, Ant and Dec can do no wrong in my eyes.'
