Christine Lampard, 39, shares her delight that baby will be her parents' first grandchild... and says daddy-to-be Frank 'really can't wait'
She is expecting her first child at 39 - but Christine Lampard is overjoyed that her parents will also get their first grandchild.
The TV presenter was speaking about pregnancy on Wednesday morning's Lorraine, gushing about the prospect of being a first-time-mum.
Christine, who will welcome husband Frank Lampard's third child later this year, says the daddy-to-be 'really can't wait' while his daughters - Luna, 12, and Isla, 10 - are 'beside themselves'.
Expecting: Christine Lampard spoke about her first pregnancy during an interview with Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday morning
'I'm trying to do all the right things,' she said. 'Like any first-time mum, there's a list of whole things I didn't know. I'm learning on the job.
On the first weeks of pregnancy, she added: 'I wasn't terribly sick, a little nausea but I feel good. I've tried to be good, I'm walking everywhere.'
She went on to say: 'It's lovely, we are very excited. It's the first grandchild for my parents, my sister will be an auntie for the first time.
22 weeks: The TV presenter said that her 'tiny' bump gets bigger as the day goes on
Expecting: Christine is almost six months pregnant with her first child
'And the girls, they are completely beside themselves, more than I thought… They are desperate for a girl.'
Christine announced her pregnancy last Wednesday in an Instagram post with Frank and her step-daughters (from his relationship with Elen Rivas).
On Frank, she went on: 'He can’t wait. He’s very excited daddy-to-be and because the girls are there as well. We’re a unit and we're all in this together. We feel very grateful.'

Christine is 21 weeks pregnant and revealed last week that she has kept the news to herself for some time, owing to her 'anxiety, nerves and superstition.'
'I wanted to go for the big scan and everything,' she admitted. 'I was really tentative before I announced it. We know that can happen at any stage but so far so good.'
She also admits she took '5 or 6' pregnancy tests to be sure that it was 'real' and says that while her bump is only 'little' she gets bigger as the day goes on.
Cute couple: While it will be a first child for Christine, it will also be her parents' first grandchild
Christine will stand in for host Lorraine Kelly next week while the presenter is on leave.
The presenter previously revealed she did not want to use IVF, preferring to see if she could fall pregnant naturally.
She told the Loose Women last week: 'I wasn’t constantly doing a test. I thought, let’s see what happens, because I’m clearly not 18 any more.
'It's been the loveliest time between the two of us. I wanted to let nature be the referee.'
Excited: The star says she took around 5-6 pregnancy tests to be sure
