Spanish league loses its sponsor, may have many smaller ones
MADRID (AP) — Spanish league president Javier Tebas says the league has lost its exclusive sponsor and will most likely not be able to replace it in time for next season.
Tebas says that although "many proposals are on the table," the previous deal with Spanish bank BBVA will not continue and no title sponsor has so far come forward as a replacement.
He says one possibility that is being explored is for the league to have "several sponsors."
