Bau Na Vichaar Movie Review
Critic's Rating: 3.0/5
A resourceful youngster, Varun, with a unique vision joins a reality show for entrepreneurs. He ropes in his childhood friends and brother hoping to win it and thereby to prove his worth to everyone's family and business partners. Will he be able to succeed in execution of his start-up idea and win the reality show?
Debutant director Hrutul has brought in a fresh breeze in D-Town with his cinematic takes in 'Bau Na Vichaar'. Not only has he done a good job in execution of the film as a director but he also ensured to pitch in more than one role i.e. writer, lyricist, music composing as well. He nailed the multi-tasking command just apt! We love the cinematography and music of this film.
Talking about dialogues, these are fun filled and carry an element of philosophy too. About the story line, it is a typical masala entertainer which will strike a chord with young movie goers. Trouble area for this film is its slow-pace and its duration. Sharper editing would have worked well. Although, the second half is comparatively faster and gripping.
Talking about performances, Bhavya Gandhi is the clear winner with his natural performance. He reminds us of the guy-next-door who is sharp and fun loving. Janki and Devarshi too are perfect fit for their characters. Ragi Jani and Sanjay Galsar, the theatre veterans, are fabulous in their roles. But, do watch out for Navjot Singh Chauhan as he sparks up the second half with his role play.
Overall, this film is a wholesome entertainment package. After two months' no release phase of Gujarati films, Bau Na Vichaar comes as a decent ice-breaker.
