Out Of Syllabus Movie Review : A sneak-peek into life that is outside of college syllabus
Critic's Rating: 3.0/5
College life is golden life, and the life lessons learned in college life will stay with us forever. College love story is another important chapter in people’s lives. But, what if life decides to throw a curveball at us and challenge us? Can we handle it with things that we learned in college or do we have to step out of syllabus and have a fresh start?
Dev (Pradeep Doddaiah) is an ideal college student. His lectures love him, and show him as an example for other students. But after finishing college, he faces challenges in his love life.
The film, in the first half focuses on college life, love stories and all the fun that college life has to offer. Some are narrated in a cheekily funny way, and some with an emotional depth. But, both of them needed a little more intensity for it to reach and impact the audience. The screenplay needed a little bit of a booster to aptly convey the message.
Pradeep has aced as both actor, writer and director. His screen presence is natural, and he brings a certain aura. Senior actors Achyut Kumar, Jahangir, Yograj Bhat, have neatly done the jobs assigned to them. Hrithika Srinivas, Aishwarya Rachel and Prakruti have performed their roles with ease.
You can watch this movie in theatre to reminisce about the good old college days and think about how far you have made it in life post those golden days.
