Simharoopini Movie Review : Simharoopini review: A devotional drama that keeps you engaged

Plot: Simharoopini delves deep into the divine history of goddess Parvathi Devi and how she establishes herself on earth

Review: Goddess Parvathi is said to descend to earth in seven avatars to destroy evil, with her final avatar believed to be Maramma Devi.

The devotional film Simharoopini revolves around the belief that Marammaa Devi destroys evil and protects her devoted followers. In the unremarkable village of Yarappanhalli, animal sacrifices are a common practice. The village head, Dinesh, defies the goddess due to his overwhelming greed and arrogance. The plot takes a turn when Marammaa Devi, in the form of the goddess herself, intervenes to thwart the conspiracy Dinesh is planning.

Simharoopini is a story centered on deep devotion, intertwined with a love story. It highlights the culture, customs, and traditions of the people in Yarappana’s village, while also exploring the reasoning behind their practice of animal sacrifice.

Kinnalraj, known for his work in KGF, has penned the dialogues, lyrics, and direction the film, which keeps the audience intrigued. However, with a stronger screenplay and narration, the film could have reached a higher level. Actress Yashaswini Subbe Gowda, who appeared in the role of Devi, has done justice to her role. Ankita Gowda and Yash Shetty draw attention with their natural performances. All the other artists including Dinesh Mangaluru, Aarav Lohit, Tabla Nani, Divya Alur have played their roles perfectly. Khushi Basrur, who appeared in the role of Baladevi, shows her talent. The background music and cinematography complements the film. Going with the trend, In the climax, the makers also drops a hint of sequel. If devotional drama is your copy of tea this would certainly interests you.
