Celebrity cook Rachael Ray, 56, had a surprise appearance from husband John M. Cusimano in a new video posted to her Instagram - just weeks after she admitted on her podcast that they get into 'huge screaming matches.'

The hilarious clip was shared to her page this week, as she showed off a cooking 'fail' taken from her show, Rachael Ray's Meals in Minutes.

In the video, she was seen pulling out some extremely burnt bread buns from the oven in her kitchen, as she told the crew, 'You have to stop everything, because this is hilarious.'

Her husband, Cusimano, was standing at the kitchen island as he tried to open up a bottle on the counter.

Her husband-of-nearly-two-decades cut a cool, casual figure in a black, V-neck T-shirt and a chunky silver watch.

'That's good,' he responded to his wife, as she took a look at the burnt bread.

Ray erupted into a fit of laughter, as she showed the camera the charcoaled buns.

'Here's the super funny part, these were like, pure white, and I thought they looked a little off 'cause they were so soft and fluffy white,' she said.

'I put them in the oven after I turned it off, the oven's off,' she continued with a laugh.

'The oven is totally off, there's no lights on in there. Who burns bread in an oven that's not even on?'

In the caption of the video, she cheekily wrote, 'Gotta watch them buns hun.'

The surprise appearance from her husband comes just a few months after she admitted that she and her husband have had their share of arguments.

The celebrity cook and lawyer tied the knot in Tuscany in 2005 and have been together ever since, but have never had children.

She explained that she thinks it's healthy to get things out sometimes during an October episode of her podcast, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead.

Ray said, 'It’s very hard, especially for hot-tempered or creative or vociferous, shall we say, loud people to be able to just calm it down.'

She confessed: 'John and I don’t calm it down ever. We have huge screaming matches all the time.

'But I think that’s healthy, I really do, and I don’t trust people that are too quiet… Too quiet freaks me out.

'I prefer that you tell me what you think when you think it, and just let’s get it all out there. Get it out there.'

She explained their dynamic while she was interviewing author Jenny Mollen, who is married to American Pie and Orange Is The New Black star Jason Biggs.

When Mollen asked who says sorry first after a fight between Ray or her husband, Ray shared: 'I don’t know that we ever apologize to each other.'

She explained: 'Eventually, I pat him on his a** or he kisses me on the head, and that’s just sort of it. That’s the apology.

'It’s just sort of understood: "All right. I still like your a**." "I still like your head." It’s kind of in that zone.'

In addition to launching her podcast this year, Ray has also sparked some health concerns among her fans after she posted a video which appeared to show her slurring her speech.

The video was a preview from her new show, Rachael Ray in Tuscany, and showed her cooking Ossobuco while paying tribute to the late Tony Bennett.

She later admitted that she had a 'couple of bad falls' recently.
