Paradise reunites Brown with showrunner Fogelman. They last worked together on the acclaimed NBC series This Is Us, which aired between 2016 and 2022.

Addressing the jaw-dropping plot twist at the end of episode one, Brown admitted he was 'totally satisfied.'

In an interview with People, he recalled of a conversation he had with Fogleman: 'I said, "You son of a gun. You did it again."

'Because I forgot who I was dealing with. I thought I was just looking at a political thriller... And that was enough. I was totally satisfied.'
