Synopsis
Gajarama delivers what the team had promised - a commercial entertainer with mass elements. Shuffling between a sports drama and a love story, the film is very formulaic and sticks to the template.

Gajarama Movie Review : Gajarama review: A template commercial entertainer
Critic's Rating: 2.5/5
Plot: Rama (Rajvardhan), is a young village lad with big dreams, training to become a national-level wrestling champion. When unexpected challenges arise in his personal life, his strength and determination are put to the ultimate test.
Review: Rama (Rajvardhan) is a young wrestler from a small village in Karnataka. He dreams big and aspires to represent the state on a national level and make his village proud. His strength earns him the moniker Gajarama, indicating that he is as strong as an elephant. Rama is mentored by a former national champion (Sharath Lohitashwa), who often asserts that he sees himself in Rama. This motivates Rama to work hard. When his childhood crush Anjali (Tapaswini Poonachcha) returns to the village from Bengaluru, Rama is eager to express his love for her. But she hands him over her wedding invitation, thus breaking his heart. Anjali is engaged to be married to ACP Pratap (Deepak). Rama now puts his focus on wrestling.
During a chance encounter in Bengaluru, he gets to meet Anjali again, which changes the course of his life. Forced to choose between wrestling and his childhood crush, Rama has some tough calls to make.
Gajarama delivers what the team had promised - a commercial entertainer with mass elements. Shuffling between a sports drama and a love story, the film is very formulaic and sticks to the template.
Actors Rajvardhan, Tapaswini and Deepak have played their parts with sincerity, and are aided by seniors Sharath Lohitashwa and Raja Belawadi among others. Kabir Duhan returns as baddie Alex who plays a major role in changing Rama’s fate.
Director Sunil Kumar has helmed a commercial caper and has played safe with familiar tropes. Ragini Dwivedi is a visual treat as Sarayi Shantamma in the dance number. Gajarama offers nothing new in terms of story or filmmaking.
If template commercial films are your jam, Gajarama offers plenty to celebrate.
