Bob Dylan draft lyrics to huge Grammy-winning hit song sell at auction for £400,000
The original typewritten lyrics for Bob Dylan's 'Mr. Tambourine Man' have sold for more than £417,000.
The famous song featured as the lead track on the acoustic side of his 1965 album 'Bringing It All Back Home' and was his first number one hit in the UK.
The two page lyric sheet has Dylan's annotations in pen on it. It also has signs of where some words were changed and over-written on the typewriter.
The document belong to Al Aronowitz, the so-called grandfather of rock journalism who befriended Dylan in the 1960s.
He died in 2005 and his family have sold off some of his archive at Julien's Auctions of Los Angeles.
The sale coincided with the release on the new Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, starring Timothee Chalamet.

Myles Aronowitz, Al's son, said: 'My family and I are thrilled with the auction.
'These items were evidence of the unique and intimate place my father had in musical and cultural history with his good friend Bob Dylan, and all the other iconic artists of his day.'
Other Dylan items that sold in the £1.2m sale included his original 1968 figuritive oil painting by him for £213,000 and a 1983 Fender Telecaster guitar owned and played by him sold for £182,000.
