Olivia Dunne jokes she is 'getting her LinkedIn ready' as she mourns TikTok ban after final post with Baby Gronk
LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne joked she may be on a job hunt after TikTok officially went dark for US users on Saturday night.
The popular social media app was forced into the abrupt shutdown after Congress passed a law last year banning TikTok unless its Chinese parent company ByteDance sold its stakes by Monday.
The ban sent many American users into meltdown as they mourned the loss of their platform and, for some influencers, their livelihood.
Yet, Dunne, who boasted a massive eight million followers on the platform, had a hilarious response.
The social media sensation shared a screenshot of the app's statement on its lockdown to her Instagram story.
'Time to get the LinkedIn ready,' she hilariously quipped, writing over the top over the grab.

The message, which pops up now when US-based users log into the app, reads: 'A law banning the popular video sharing app has been enacted in the US Unfortunately, that means you can't use TikTok for now.
'We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!'
President-elect Donald Trump offered a glimmer of hope to devastated TikTok users on Saturday, telling NBC News he will 'most likely' delay the ban for 90 days after taking office Monday, though he hasn't made a final decision.
For now, users have been plunged into a state of uncertainty with content creators - many of whom depend on the platform as their primary source of income - saying they are already experiencing 'withdrawal' from the app.
Dunne's fame has rocketed thanks to her social media success with her use of various platforms, including TikTok, earning her many brand deals.
And she posted her farewell to the video sharing app Saturday just hours before the ban kicked in.
The gymnast shared a video with viral sensation Baby Gronk, who asks Dunne to make a TikTok together to which she responds, 'Baby, there is no TikTok.'

Dunne, who still has a mass online following thanks to her 5.3 million followers on Instagram, is in her fifth and final year of college sports, an option she had available to her because she was on LSU's roster during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking to NOLA.Com earlier in January, she underlined her ambition to make the most of this gymnastics season.
She said: 'My decision to come back was the best decision I’ve ever made. I have to seize every moment because I know it could be my last.
'We will never get this team back, and we have a special group of girls.'
